The new code spells out a lot more detail on what can and cannot be stored in front of single-family homes. Currently, the requirements are pretty vague. The now code puts very specific limitations on what can be parked where, and for how long, with the intent of making these vehicles either be stored in the backyard, or stored offsite, depending on the lot size. Offsite storage would be something akin to a mini storage where you can park boats and campers for a fee. Boats that are 20 feet in length or smaller may be stored in the driveway in front of the house. Everything else must go in the back or rear yard.
