Welcome to our new website!

Welcome to the new Jacksonville Beach Parks and Recreation website!

We’ve been looking forward to this upgrade for a long time for many reasons, but most of all, to make it easier to connect with our community. The excellent team we have in the Parks and Rec department is working harder than ever to ensure that Jax Beach residents and visitors can take full advantage of “the beach life” and utilize our beautiful parks and enjoy any of the many events we are involved in through the city.

It’s a busy time if you haven’t noticed. We’ve just released designs for the redesign of our beloved Sunshine Playground at South Beach Park (click here to see a preview), we have plans underway for a redevelopment of Gonzales Park, we’ve just launched meetings to develop an urban trail system (more info coming soon!), and we’ve got many more exciting plans in the pipeline. We want each step in this process to be an open dialogue with the public; we’ll be soliciting feedback and ideas along the way, so be sure to visit our page often! You can also sign up to receive alerts, so you’re sure not to miss anything, by clicking here.

We look forward to continued community dialogue!

 Sincerely,

 Jason Phitides

Director, Parks and Recreation
