BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY TIPS

• Wear a helmet and appropriate shoes
• Be Seen - Wear bright colors
• Make sure brakes, gears, tires, are in working order
• Pay Attention - Don't wear headphones
• Ride in the same direction as traffic
• Cross at intersections and never pull out between parked cars
• Obey all traffic laws, including stop signs
• Always walk on the sidewalk
• Walk against traffic if no sidewalk is available 
• Always cross in crosswalks or at corners
• Never text or look at your phone while crossing the street
• Never enter the street between parked cars
• Follow pedestrian signs and signals
