The City of Jacksonville Beach (CITY) is seeking submittal of bids for wire and cable.

The OBJECTIVE of this INVITATION TO BID is to:

1. GENERAL

1.1 This section covers the general purchase specifications to procure wire and cable for the City of Jacksonville Beach, Florida for a period of one year, with an option to renew the purchase order for two (2) additional years, if mutually agreeable by both parties and if the vendor will hold his “Initial Price” firm for the second and third year.

1.2 The wire and cable shall be as specified herein and as indicated on the Technical Specifications and Data Sheets included in these Specifications.

2. Scope:

To furnish complete, factory pre-assembled 28 kV cable, designed for installation on a grounded wye system having a distribution primary voltage of 15,240/26,400 volts. This cable shall be suitable for overhead, underground, or interior power circuits in either wet or dry applications, and are used for primary distribution in power plants and URD and network feeder applications, transformer and generator leads apparatus connections and vertical risers where high reliability and long life are desired, and where higher temperatures may be encountered.

WETWELL, TANK AND PIPE CLEANING AND TV INSPECTION SERVICES

The City of Jacksonville Beach (CITY) is seeking submittal of bids and qualifications of firms interested in providing the following services:

• Maintenance cleaning of existing sewage lift station wetwells, associated sewage tanks and storm sewer vaults within the boundary limits of the City of Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
• Maintenance cleaning and televising of existing sewer mains/sewer manholes and storm sewer system piping and catch basins/manholes within the boundary limits of the City of Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

The OBJECTIVE of this REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS/BIDS is to:

• Award nonexclusive, continuing service contract(s) for combination(s) of one or more PARTS, as listed on the enclosed Unit Price Bid Tender Form, to the most responsive proposer/bidder for each combination, as determined solely by the CITY to be in its best interest.


• The resulting contract(s) will be for an initial contract term of three (3) years, renewable for up to three (3) additional years.  The total length of this contract, to include all extensions, is to be no more than six (6) years.


• The resulting contract(s) will be overall managed by the Public Works Department and will provide services to the:

• Public Works Pollution Control Plant Division,
• Public Works Distribution & Collections Division,
• Public Works Streets Division,
• Public Works Water Plant Division, and
• Other CITY divisions as necessary and at the sole discretion of the CITY.
